Enhancing Aircraft Structural Testing with Dynamic Digital Image Correlation Measurement

10 September 2024 12:00 - 12:20

The Smarter Testing project aims to develop novel testing and certification process for aeronautical structures by combing virtual and physical tests to reduce development time and costs. ZEISS’s ARAMIS is used primarily for digital image correlation measurements, which has a set measuring volume. Strategic movement of DIC system can increase this volume, proving advantageous for large-scale bending tests like aircraft wings, ensuring seamless measurement of structural deformation.
